

Creating a Podcast
As part of my first CA for Content Creation I was given the task of creating a podcast and all of my research findings. The brand I choose was Toyota and I called it the “The Yapping Yaris Podcast” in this article I will share the process I followed to create this podcast.​​​

1. Why is content creation important
Creating content is vitally important for brands and companies as it can increase brand recognition across the digital world as this allows brands to reach new audiences. Content creation is important as it allows engagement between the company and the consumer and builds a connection between the community.​ ​

2. Gathering of Information
When gathering the data for my podcast I used SurveyMonkey.com to better understand what the likes and dislikes are of the target audience. After analysing the results I found out the age range was 18-24 year old's and the majority of my results found out that most students are currently in the process of doing their lessons and is focused more on price when buying a car than anything.​

3. Creation of thumbnail
When I was given the task of creating a thumbnail for the podcast I used a template from Canva and used A.I to create the main section of the image. Then I downloaded the image and edited the file on Canva. The thumbnail is important as it shows the audience a glimpse of what the podcast is about and will show and be about.​

​4. Scripting
While I had the information from the research when I was planning out our script I wrote down a few key quotes such as the introduction and key topics to talk about such as what the survey gatherings told me such as what they like doing in their spare time.​

​​5. Recording the Podcast
When I was recording the first episode of “The Yapping Yaris” podcast we had to make sure that there was no background noises. In IADT I am very lucky to have the option of recording a podcast in a soundproof boot as this ensured all of the audio was clean and crisp.
